About

UWSP’s chapter of the American Marketing Association.

Started in 2025. Thirteen officers, a chapter sponsor in Northwestern Mutual, and a conference schedule that runs from Whitewater in October to nationals in April.

Why we exist

Marketing classes teach the theory. The chapter is where UWSP students practice it, on workshops, on trips, and on the chapter’s own brand, and where they meet the people who hire.

A semester, roughly

  • Workshops & speakers. Working marketers on how the job actually goes. Ask them anything.
  • Conferences & competitions. AMA conference trips and case competitions against chapters from other schools. Whitewater in October, New Orleans in April.
  • Networking. Employers, alumni, and professors. Smaller rooms than a career fair.
  • Chapter brand & content. Our Instagram, LinkedIn, and this website are run by students. Work on them, then put it in your portfolio.
  • Career prep. Resume and LinkedIn workshops, interview practice, and feedback from people who’ve done the hiring.
  • Social. Christmas party, game nights, hangouts. The part where you make friends in your major.

Run by students

Five teams: Executive, Marketing, Promotions, Finance, and Membership. They plan the events, book the speakers, and build things like this website.
